If Minecraft in your PC is not working due to an issue with Java, your Java install may be corrupt and/or out of date. To remedy a corrupt install, you need uninstalling Java. After the uninstall is complete, you can then try reinstalling Minecraft.
Java allows you to play online Minecraft game, chat with people around the world, calculate your mortgage interest, and view images in 3D, just to name a few. It’s also integral to the intranet applications and other e-business solutions that are the foundation of corporate computing.
- First you need to uninstall Java on your PC. For Windows users, it’s recommended to use an uninstaller program, such as Revo Uninstaller (free) to remove Java. Revo Uninstaller will search in-depth for all things Java, and remove the files.
- Then you can re-download/update Java, visit Java’s download page here. Download the correct version for your machine, based on what operating system you have.
- Then you need reinstalling Minecraft.
