As a little scrapbot working in santa’s factory Ratoyo has always been fascinated with toys. He adored them, but he could never have one, santa wouldn’t let him. Ratoyo would occassionally sneaki n to the storage room late nights to play with toys. braid the dolls hair and push the trains along the giant tracks he constructed out of popsicle sticks. Ratoyo could never have been happier. But old machines wores out and is replaced by new and better technology. Ratoyo would soon find himself out on the streets, shrugging under porches as he attempts to avoid the rain and thereby rust. Ratoyo decided that he would not end up on the scrapyard.
Ratoyo took employment in a local store working in the storage section, for the children would be frightened if he showed his mechanical nature. one night he found box which the manager had thrown out. It was a toy assembly kit filled with cloth, glue and other useful materials. Ratoyo had always dreamed of owning his own toy and now he could finally make them himself! He worked the whole night, from dusk til dawn, untill is masterwork was complete. he used up all the cloth for the pink dress, all the hay for the blonde hair and all the sticks for its body. it was his doll. and he knew he was going to love it dearly.
Ratoyo decided to show it to the shopkeeper, surely if he showed his capability to make toys the shopkeeper could put him to the task!
he tapped Ratoyo on his little mechanical forehead and handed the doll back to him.
the door sprung open and in stormed a little girl with her father tailing.
Ratoyo hid quickly behind the counter. leaving the doll in the shopkeeper’s hand.
the little girl glanced at the doll the shopkeeper held.
no, she can’t have that doll, that’s my doll!
the shopkeeper handed the girl the doll.
Ratoyo could not stand loosing his precious.
he crawled from his hide spot and went up to the little girl.
“errm excuse me?” he said in his scrappy little voice.
“I made that doll, and its my most treassured object in this world, so if you could be kind to give it ba..”
“eeeeeek!!” the girl screamed!
the father stormed out from the shop with his daughter holding Ratoyo’s doll in her hand.
Ratoyo fealt sadness within him, but no tears could he conjure, because he was no human. no organic creation from the earth mother. just a scrapbot.
when the police arrived Ratoyo was allready gone, he decided to hide in the scrapyard, surely no human would think of looking for him there.
huddling under scrap Ratoyo from cars and other mechanical vehicles hiding from the rain, Ratoyo thought to himself to just sink in with the rest of the scrap, becoming one with it. but he was strong willed.. he would not dissapear on this scrapyard! from tires and mechanical contraptions Ratoyo Constructed a cart from which he could drive away from this horrible town and humans, he would craft his own toys to share with the world!
Ratoyo did not however have any tools. but what he did find on the scrapyard was a organic transformer. it transformed the bones and muscles of humans to wood.
Ratoyo decided to visit the little girl that stole his precious doll and retake it. but also to have his revange. he kidnapped the child and transformed her into a doll. when the father came looking for her he sold her to him.
after a few customers he could afford to hire staff to accompany him.
Ratoyo still to this day roams the roads. always looking for new products.
so hide your kids and kids toys, because Ratoyo is coming for them both!
